The Tab Player can load and play several prevalent guitar tablature file formats. Users can load, display and playback any specific track inside a tablature file. When used in DAWs, the Tab Player also allows users to export the tablature as an audio file.
As a built-in function, the Tab Player works seamlessly with the Ample Sound instrument engine, which has extremely customized guitar playing logic so as to model a real-world guitar being played. The Tab Player can even judge on its own to automatically add some refining articulations when it thinks it is appropriate, such as slapping on strings or body, or other realistic and indispensable noises.
Strumming is an important factor of guitar playing. By taking advantage of the Ample Guitar Strummer engine, the Tab Player can not only mingle different articulations into strumming, but can also alternate between strumming several strings (i.e. multiple notes) simultaneously and strum at a particular string (i.e. one note).

as a guitar player i use Amplitude and Guitar Rig externally from cubase, connect the guitar rig pedalboard and on your mac, then select this as audio board from guitar rig settings. Set the latency at 32buffer size, and record the sounds from the pedalboard to the audio board without latency as you will record from mic or another guitar source. Unfortunately Cubase have a big latency problems under OS X instead of Logic. This is my way to resolve this issue and works great.

Ample Sound has announced the release Ample Guitar M Lite II, a brand new and completely overhauled version of their fantastic free acoustic guitar virtual instrument available in VST/AU/RTAS/AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac OS X.
You can find isolated guitar loops out there on the internet, but it can be difficult to make a random clip fit into your pre-existing song. By contrast, virtual software instruments use libraries of sampled guitar notes, playable with your MIDI keyboard within any DAW.
To help you find the guitar sounds that are right for your next hit, we compiled a list of the best free guitar VST plugins that you can download and start using in your productions today. The following software covers a wide variety of guitars: electric, acoustic, classical, lap steel, 12-strings, and non-Western stringed instruments like the Chinese moon guitar (yueqin) or the Greek bouzouki.
Ample Guitar uses modifier keys at the lower end of the MIDI keyboard range (C0-C1) to use different guitar techniques like hammer-on and pull-off, palm mute, legato slide, and more. This allows you to chain together a guitar part that sounds natural, with many of the nuances of a proper recorded performance.

This ground-breaking software instrument allows keyboardists to include the full, authentic tone of acoustic guitars in their music. The harmonic resonances of guitar strings, and especially the way these resonances shift with each note played, are not captured by sampled guitar synths; therefore, they never fully sound natural.
